Casa ("we", "our", or "the app") is a private family dashboard designed to help families coordinate schedules, share proposals, and stay organized. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Casa, we collect and store the following information:

• Account information: Your name and email address, provided when you sign in with Google.
• Family data: Events, proposals, chat messages, and other content you and your family members create within the app.
• Google Calendar data: If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we access your calendar events in read-only mode using the calendar.readonly scope. This data is used solely to display your calendar events within the Casa dashboard for your family to see.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively to provide the Casa family dashboard functionality:

• Displaying shared calendar events to your family members
• Enabling family proposals, chat, and coordination features
• Sending optional notifications about family activity

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the app's core functionality.

3. Google Calendar Access

Casa requests read-only access to your Google Calendar (calendar.readonly). This means:

• We can only read your calendar events — we cannot create, edit, or delete them.
• Calendar data is synced to our database (Firebase Firestore) so your family members can view shared schedules.
• You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from the Settings page, which removes your stored calendar tokens and synced events.

Casa's use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Functions), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Authentication tokens for Google Calendar are stored securely in Firestore and are only accessible by the authenticated user and the server-side sync function.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you use the app. You can:

• Disconnect your Google Calendar at any time to remove stored tokens and synced events.
• Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

Casa is intended for use by families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Family members under 13 should use the app under parental supervision.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
